To make the experience as convenient and stress-free as possible, we travel to your home. This way, you and your family can relax and enjoy the session in a familiar environment.

We provide a complimentary wardrobe to borrow from, ensuring you have access to beautiful, timeless outfits for your session.

Each heirloom session comes with a box of beautiful matted prints.

In addition to your beautiful heirlooms, I will hand draw the perfect silhouette for your little one.

We understand that pets are family too! As a special treat, we include a free heirloom dog portrait with any session.
Heirloom Session FAQs
How much is the session?
The session fee is included in the collection price. My pricing starts at $650, which includes the session and five beautifully edited digital portraits. Each additional portrait is $100.
Can I purchase more than five portraits?
Yes! Many families choose to add additional portraits. Each extra digital portrait is $100, and you can select as many as you’d like from your final gallery.
How far in advance should I book?
It’s best to book 4-6 weeks in advance, especially if you need your portraits for a special occasion. Weekends fill up first!
What is the best age for an heirloom session?
Heirloom portraits are perfect for children ages 6 months and up, when they can sit unassisted. However, I also photograph older children and families who want a timeless, classic portrait.
What should we wear for an heirloom session?
Classic and neutral tones photograph beautifully. Soft pastels, whites, creams, and subtle patterns work best. Avoid bright colors, logos, and busy prints to keep the focus on your child’s expression. We also provide a complimentary wardrobe.
Where does the session take place?
Sessions are held in your own home. I bring a portable studio and can set up in small places. No worries if you don’t have natural light.
When will we receive our images?
Your proofing gallery will be ready the evening of your session or early next morning. Once you have chosen your favorites, editing takes another 2-3 days.
Can I bring more than one outfit?
Absolutely! I love variety!
What if my child has bruises or scrapes on their face?
9 out of 10 children have some sort of bruise or scratch on their face. I’m really good at photoshop, so don’t worry!
How long does the session last?
Most heirloom sessions last around 45-60 minutes. I work efficiently to capture your child’s natural expressions while keeping the experience fun and stress-free.
Can siblings be included?
Absolutely! Sibling portraits are a beautiful way to showcase their connection. I do not charge extra for additional children. You only purchase the portraits you love.
For example, if you have three children and want two portraits of each, your total would be $750.
What if my child doesn’t cooperate?
Don’t worry! I have years of experience working with children and a few tricks up my sleeve to keep the session fun and relaxed. We go at their pace to capture genuine, beautiful moments.
Do you travel?
Sessions outside of the Dallas Fort Worth area require a $1,500 deposit that goes toward your session.
